Wolves are no doubt one of the best promoted teams to have graced the Premier League in a very long time. They have defied the odds and have proved many wrong along the way, and for good reason as well.
One of those reasons is striker Raul Jimenez, who has been in red-hot form lately. The Mexican international has been sensational, most recently in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea on Sunday. He came up with the goods yet again, demonstrating exactly why the club need to tie him down to a permanent deal this summer.
Well, it looks like the wishes of many Wolves fans are going to come true after the Express and Star reported that a contract and wage structure has already been agreed between the club and the player, and that the ball is in Wolves’ court whether they will sign him permanently.
Many Wolves fans will surely be thrilled with this update, as they were no doubt wondering whether the club were going to capitalise on his good form recently. He is the best striker they have had in a long time and they would be mad not to keep him after the impact he has made recently.
He has scored 14 goals this season, and to be honest, that does not do the effort he has put in any justice. Jimenez may not have been the prolific striker that the fans wanted at the start of the season, but he has certainly made up for it by propelling Wolves into the top ten.
This is quite the achievement from a newly promoted team, and Jimenez is one of many players who they can thank for achieving it.
Either way, many of the Wolves fans are going to be absolutely thrilled with this update on the dazzler, as he has the potential to be a Molineux hero.
