OPINION
West Brom have shot themselves in the foot by sacking Darren Moore, adding uncertainty at a time of season where they simply do not need it. And while many will argue that the decision to axe Moore was wrong, it is not hard to understand why so many Albion fans are happy to see the back of Graeme Jones. According to the Express & Star and Daily Mail, Jones agreed to become the next Luton Town manager before he, Moore and Wayne Jacobs were sacked by the Baggies on Saturday after the 1-1 draw with Ipswich. Jones’ influence at The Hawthorns has been widely-criticised all season. The ex-Belgium coach was appointed just days before the season started and it seemed straight away as though Moore’s tactics had changed to suit a more possession-based style that Jones had been coaching with Belgium. A system with three at the back that relies on ball-playing defenders simply failed to suit West Brom’s hard-man backline of Ahmed Hegazi, Craig Dawson and Kyle Bartley. In less than 12 months they went from being told to lump it up the pitch to Salomon Rondon, to pass the ball around like they were Virgil van Dijk or Toby Alderweireld. Jones’ exit is welcomed. He did not suit West Brom and it seems that his priorities, in the last few weeks at least, have been elsewhere.

The more I read about Graham Jones I'm glad he's gone he was having too much of an influence I guess the only criticism of big Dave can be he should have been strong enough to implement his own ideas #wba
