OPINION
Every single Tottenham transfer story seems to be getting shot down lately, but there are no surprises about this one as it seems after all that Julio Cesar Torres is not heading to North London. The 21-year-old agent told Bolivian news outlet El Dia this week that his client has agreed a “pre-contract” with Spurs and would head to the United Kingdom for a trial in April. However football.london journalist Alasdair Gold has rubbished those claims, saying that Torres is not going to join Tottenham. It’s hardly a shock as Torres does not even appear when you search him up on Google, and some Tottenham fans have responded hilariously to the news. Spurs have not signed anyone in the last two transfer windows, leading to one fan asking if the club can even sign made up players. Hopefully Torres does not go on to be the next big thing, if he even is a footballer, because that would just be the most Spursy thing ever.
Have seen stories and a photo floating around of a young Bolivian player signing for Spurs to join the development squad. I understand it's a load of rubbish. Reminds me of the Wilmar Barrios done deal stories in each of the last two windows.
