OPINION
BT Sport anchor Darrell Currie has got Bears talking after a blockbuster double transfer reveal on Twitter on Thursday night. The journalist and broadcaster, who is the front man of the company’s outstanding Scottish football coverage, reported on his personal social media account that the Glasgow giants are poised to sign Motherwell left-winger Jack Hastie, and could make it a double swoop ahead of the summer window by also landing Heart left-back Graeme Shinnie. It’s fair to say the potential arrival of Hastie, 20, has got Rangers fans more excited. He is young, talented and exciting, scoring four goals in his last five matches for ‘Well and blowing defenders away since returning from a loan to Alloa Athletic in the first half of the season. Shinnie is a proven performer, but considered less exciting because he is a left-back of solid rather than spectacular virtues, even though he has also made a decent fist of a new central midfield role this season.
