Pundit Tam McManus has launched a savage attack on Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos after he was sent off in the first half against Celtic on Sunday afternoon.

Minutes after seeing Odsonne Edouard score to hand the Hoops the lead, the Gers lost their own centre forward star for an off-the-ball incident involving Scott Brown, the Colombian appearing to elbow the Scottish midfielder in the face.

McManus was left slaughtering the hitman on his personal Twitter account, revealing what he would do if he was in the Light Blues’ dressing room.

He wrote: “Morelos is an absolute liability. If I was a Rangers player at HT I would rip Morelos head off for that. Yet again he kills his teammates.”

Opinion

McManus is saying what all the Rangers fans are thinking. It was a brainless decision to even get slightly involved with Brown, who definitely made the most of the incident to get the Rangers star his marching orders. He already has a reputation for disciplinary problems and that will have done his case no help whatsoever when the officials were conferring. As the pundit says, he has let his teammates down once again and he is showing no signs of learning from his mistakes. What on earth do the club do with him after this latest incident? They cannot afford to be going down to 10 men on such a regular basis, but also cannot miss out on what the Colombian hothead brings to the side in the form of his goals. It is a difficult tightrope for the club to walk – although it does not help that he constantly oversteps the boundaries of what is acceptable on the pitch.
