There is no doubt that Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara has already won over the hearts of the fans with some excellent performances since his arrival.

However, he came crashing right back down to Earth last weekend after the Gers limped to a disappointing 1-1 draw against Aberdeen on Sunday, and it is safe to say that he was one of the main offenders on a day where everybody was not at their best in the slightest.

He failed to influence the game in any shape or form that afternoon, but things could not have looked more different when Rangers took on Hibernian on Friday evening.

Despite the fact that they did not get the win, Kamara looked like a transformed player from his woeful display last time out, impressing everyone with his powerful runs from midfield.

He even had the chance to open the scoring in the first half but his effort was well-blocked – and if you were a fan who was concerned about his outing last week, then there is no need to be worried now.

Kamara has made an instant impact since arriving and it looks like his performance in their last match was a one-off, well fingers crossed anyway.

It is good that Steven Gerrard maintained his faith in the 23-year-old ace despite the goings on of last week and did not immediately axe him because of one abysmal showing.

He definitely has a big part to play in Rangers’ season run-in – whatever outcome that may end up being – and the fact he was able to prove that he could turn it around against Hibernian is a sign that he is quite the talent.

It is safe to say that his display in this 1-1 draw with Hibernian has firmly cemented him into the thoughts of Gerrard, who must be counting his lucky stars that Kamara has turned it around after his shocker against the Dons last week.
