Many Celtic fans no doubt believe that the future looks promising after the appointment of Neil Lennon recently. You cannot blame them though, his arrival has certainly boosted the morale of the team ever since Brendan Rodgers left.

If he manages to guide the Hoops to the Scottish Cup as well as the Scottish Premiership title, then the job is practically his next season – and if he is the man in the hotseat, he will definitely have to give the team a bit of a revamp.

Celtic need a striker, there is no doubt about that. Leigh Griffiths is currently absent, Odsonne Edouard has been injured and Vakoun Issouf Bayo is not really in the frame at the moment.

That has left Oliver Burke to lead the line, but it is unlikely that he is going to stay at Parkhead beyond the end of the season.

This is why they must plot a summer raid for Everton striker Henry Onyekuru, who is currently on loan at Turkish club Galatasaray.

Turkish outlet Takvim report that he is not in manager Fatih Terim’s plans next season, which means the club are unlikely to want to take him on loan again.

Seeing as he has scored 11 goals this season, that does seem surprising. However, what could be their loss could definitely be Celtic’s gain in the summer.

At the age of 21-years-old, he looks like a very bright prospect, and it would only take the right environment for him to thrive even further.

The Hoops need to sign a striker, so it makes complete sense for the club to take advantage of this situation, right? That goal tally needs to increase, and that would certainly happen with the likes of Ryan Christie creating opportunities for him.

Parkhead may erupt if the club signed the young attacker in the summer, as he is just the player to fix their current issue.
