Celtic may be running away with the Scottish Premiership title seeing as they are ten points ahead, and that success has been helped by many players over the course of the season.

One of those players is Scott Sinclair, who has been outstanding for the Hoops in recent times. His form left a lot to be desired at the start of the campaign, but now he is the best he has ever been – much to the delight of the Celtic supporters.

His current contract runs out in 2020, and if the club are wise, they would extend that deal even further. There is the risk that the 29-year-old may attract attention after the form he has been in, and the last thing Celtic want is for him to leave any time soon.

Securing his future should be of the most utmost importance after the season has finished. You would never have thought that he would be one of the players who has contributed to the success of the team at the start. It is a true testament to how much he has improved in the last few months.

He is arguably one of the club’s most underrated players, and extending his deal would be a great bit of business for the Hoops. They may be looking at targeting signings, but after the way Sinclair has wowed the Celtic crowds recently, the club would be mad not to tie him down.

Sinclair has scored 17 goals this season, which is a remarkable statistic for someone operating as a winger. This is more than striker Odsonne Edouard has scored this term, which is really saying something.

If there is one thing to be learned about the prolific dazzler this season, it is that his future must be secured as soon as possible.
