Tottenham no doubt have one of the best midfields in the Premier League – but it could be made even better after the latest update on Fulham star Ryan Sessegnon.
The Mirror report that Spurs are lining up a £50 million move for the 18-year-old ace, who has been stalling on penning a new contract at the league strugglers.
Sessegnon is considered as a hot-prospect, and the fact that he has not committed his future to the Cottagers will have many fans jumping for joy. He really is a star of the future, and Spurs would complete a masterstroke by taking advantage of this situation.
The report states that the youngster is not too keen on leaving London, something which immediately rules Manchester United out of the chase. So far, so good right?
Spurs are likely to loan him out to Fulham next season if they do end up signing him this summer, but that is a move that will help him develop and come back to North London as a much better player. He is already showing the signs of someone who has a lot of potential, but this move could increase that potential even further.
Sessegnon is definitely a player to watch, and the fact that clubs like Paris Saint-Germain have been keen on him in the past shows just how good he really is.
If he does not want to move down to the second tier – a possibility that seems likely for Fulham at the moment – then he will just have to learn his trade at Tottenham. Based on his form this season, perhaps he would not struggle to fit in.
Either way, Tottenham fans will be loving the fact that the young dazzler is stalling on signing a new contract – as he is really one to watch and a player they’d love at their club.
