OPINION
Tottenham have been linked with a move for Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon and while many fans are absolutely delighted, they’re also shocked at the stated price tag. The Mirror reported that Tottenham were preparing a £50million offer for the 18-year-old England Under-21 international, who came off the bench for 25 minutes in the game against Liverpool on Sunday. On the face of it, he would seem like the perfect Poch player. Young, supremely talented, and a star of the future under the right manager, Sessegnon is out of contract in the summer of 2020 and that means there might not be a better time for Fulham to sell than this summer. However, it’s a huge sum of money for a player who isn’t even starting every game for Fulham. His talent is obvious, but Tottenham fans can think of better uses for £50million – even if Daniel Levy was prepared to spend that much on him. Tottenham definitely need to add new players this summer but this one seems far-etched, especially at that price.
Here are the best reactions from Tottenham fans:
I would break our transfer record for Sess. Before Zaha or Bale. Sess still has a good head on his shoulders and his whole career ahead of him. And he's from London. One summer with Poch and Rose and Sessegnon will be set for a major role in our starting 11.

This may have been instigated by his agent ???, he hasn’t had the best of times in the premier, but is still a very bright prospect. I would pay good money for him.

the price tag is what is shocking, if fulham get relegated then they have no foot to stand on. sessegnon would be a class signing under poch

Sounds steep for a player who hasn’t really kicked on in the Prem.

If he could be picked up for under 40 id be taking this guy he is only a baby but bags of potential full pace knows how to hit net and perfect for spurs as homegrown , i could see it definitely but not @50m

I think Poch would work wonders with him, within 12 months Ricky.

great signing but the price tag is way off, 20-25m is his transfer fee especially with a relegated team

Very good player in my opinion and I think Poch and crew can make him a proper all rounder ??
