OPINION

It might have been a long wait but we think it’s one that will definitely be worth it when Spurs fans finally get into their new stadium.

The opening date has been set for April 3 for the home game against Crystal Palace in the Premier League, with two test events set to go ahead this month.

One of them looks set to be an absolute cracker, a legends game that will feature Jurgen Klinsmann – something that has got the Spurs fans very excited.

Other players confirmed include Nayim, Micky Hazard, Mark Falco, Teemu Tainio, Paul Stalteri, Pascal Chimbonda, Chris Perry and Neil Sullivan.

The game is set to play out on March 30th with a 5.30pm kick-off and it will give Spurs fans a taste of what the Palace game will offer.

Some pundits have been saying Tottenham would be better off waiting until the new season to move in, but we don’t hold with that at all. This way, Tottenham will hit the ground running next season and the atmosphere should be electric for the few games left this campaign.

We think every other football fan is going to be jealous and Spurs fans are already drooling over the prospect of seeing the Spurs legends in the new ground.

Here are the best reactions from Tottenham fans:
