Tottenham fans have waited and waited for their new stadium, but now it is so close they can almost taste. That being said, there are still some aspects of the new ground that are still up in the air, with the most important one being the name. According to a widely circulated image on social media, however, supporters might soon have an answer to their questions surrounding what to call their new home. A supposedly leaked image, as tweeted by Lilywhite Rose, amongst others, would suggest that the ground will be known as the North London Stadium at White Hart Lane, with sponsorship seemingly provided by Nike. If that is true, then, aside from the fact that it could be a little bit of a mouthful, Spurs could do a whole lot worse. It is a strong and recognisable name that both embodies the identity of the club and nods to their history too. In terms of sponsorship, Nike is a lot better than the likes of Sports Direct or Bet365 or some of the other names that have been haphazardly tied to footballing arenas around the country, and all in all, if this does turn out to be the name, then it’s pretty good one
