Graham Roberts has expressed his excitement as Tottenham edge closer to moving into their new stadium this season.

Spurs have used Wembley as their residence for the majority of this season after seeing their new ground fail to be completed by the initial move in date, but as the new move-in date approaches, Roberts has expressed his excitement by “counting down the days”.

Tottenham will now play their final few games in their new home, and Roberts has called on the fans to make the stadium as noisy as possible.

“Very excited now to be going into the new stadium lets now make the place absolutely rocking with noise for our last games of the season like we used to at the old white hart lane! Counting down the days!” he said on his personal Twitter account.

OPINION

Many Tottenham fans are no doubt excited about the club moving into their new stadium. It has been a long time coming after multiple delays, and now they have something to look forward to for what is left of the season. Their initial move in date was pushed back due to problems, but it looks like the date is finally approaching after all this time. Fans have had to travel to Wembley for their matches this season, and as good as a ground as it is, it is not the same as having your own ground. Moving into it will no doubt lift the players’ spirits, and it is no surprise that Roberts is very excited about it. It may just be the incentive the team needs to make that final push for a top four finish this season – and there is no doubt that Roberts feels exactly the same.
