Harry Kane has implored Tottenham fans to come to the first game at the new stadium – the Under-18s clash against Southampton on Sunday.

The Under-18s clash is the first of two test events at the new stadium ahead of the official opening in April and tickets are still available.

Kane put out the plea on his official Twitter page saying “Be at the very first game at the new stadium and get behind the young lads #COYS #SpursNewStadium!”

What an occasion for the Tottenham Under-18s, playing the very first game in the new stadium. They’ll have a huge crowd cheering them on, with plenty of Spurs fans taking the chance of getting to be at the historic event on Sunday. Then things really start to ramp up, with a the second test event welcoming a load of Tottenham legends, including Jurgen Klinsmann. Them comes the opening proper, with Tottenham set to host Crystal Palace on Wednesday, April 3. Incredibly, Sky has opted against televising the game, so Tottenham fans will have to get tickets for the game if they want to soak in the atmosphere at their new home. The stadium looks nothing short of breathtaking and could give Tottenham a huge boost as they prepare for the two biggest games of their season – against Man City in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. If they can get past Pep’s side they could be on the verge of one of the biggest upsets of the season.
