Harry Redknapp heaped praise on Tottenham striker Harry Kane and compared him to football legend Bobby Moore in the process.

The former Spurs boss said all the things you could say about Spurs forward were the type of things that used to be said about 1966 World Cup winner Moore.

Redknapp shared he couldn’t think of anything bad to say about Kane and dubbed him a class act on and off the field.

“On the field, off the field, he’s (Kane) a class act, it’s things we say about Bobby Moore on the field, off the field class act, on the field what a captain and leader,” said Redknapp told Sky Sports while at the Kiyan Prince Foundation charity event (Sky Sports News, 15:49, Wednesday March 20th).

“Harry is the same, just a great guy, absolutely perfect role model, gets on way with training, works hard, can’t say anything bad about him, family man, top bloke, a top top top player.”

OPINION

It’s no surprise that Redknapp can’t help but gush about Kane as it’s hard to highlight a flaw in the player. The 25-year-old forward conducts himself superbly on and off the pitch whether that be for England or Spurs. While it is huge to compare any play to a legendary figure such as Moore, due to how good Kane is, then you can understand the comparison. However it probably is a comparison that will still have Kane blushing from ear to ear due to how humble he appears. Kane has scored 24 goals in 36 outings this season and shows no signs of slowing down. This is good news as Mauricio Pochettino knows he needs his star man in tip-top form in order to give his side the best chance of finishing in the top-four in the Premier League and when it comes to potentially lifting the Champions League trophy.
