Rio Ferdinand appeared in awe of Tottenham attacker Harry Kane during Spurs’ 1-0 win over Borussia Dortmund as he shared his instant reaction to the forward scoring.

The former Manchester United player pointed out how Kane needed only one chance to score and highlighted how Dortmund lost despite having a lot of efforts on goal.

Alongside posting the video of his reaction Ferdinand tweeted, “this guy does it again” in reference to the Spurs forward’s excellent goalscoring record.

“Harry Kane gets a goal, look silence, silence, silence, woah have that, one chance Harry, one goal have that, Dortmund have had all these chances and this is what happens,” said Ferdinand in the clip he shared to his verified Twitter account.

OPINION

Kane will once again dominate the headlines after scoring the only goal of Spurs’ latest win in what was an impressive night for Mauricio Pochettino’s side. Spurs went into the second leg of their Champions League clash with the German club 3-0 up on aggregate and had to deal with Dortmund throwing everything they had at them. Spurs soaked up immense pressure and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris was forced to make several impressive saves to keep his clean sheet intact. However Pochettino’s side started to breath easier in the second half as Kane made them more comfortable by scoring. It was an easy chance to convert but given that Spurs may have started to feel the pressure if Kane hadn’t scored, it was impressive to see how calm he was in the moment. It should be no surprise to anyone that the 25-year-old wasn’t fazed in front of goal as it’s more a surprise for him not to score when you consider he has scored 23 goals this season.
