OPINION
Ayoze Perez is so often the whipping boy for Newcastle United fans. The Spaniard takes a lot of stick from Magpies supporters, and on first glance it is easy to see why. The 25-year-old can be a massively frustrating figure, often giving the ball away and looking more interested in his hair than making any kind of meaningful contribution to the Toon Army’s efforts. When he is good, however, he is very, very good, and for a mad few minutes in the second half of Newcastle’s incredible 3-2 win over Everton, he was simply unplayable. After setting up Salomon Rondon for the Magpies’ first, he then scored a remarkable brace to drag his side to an unlikely victory form the jaws of defeat – and there must have been a fair few Geordies left with egg on their face after laying into the Spaniard earlier in the match. To be fair to them, so poor was Perez’s contribution up to that point, they were probably justified in having their say about his display, but maybe next time they will think twice before savaging one of their own men, no matter how dreadful the situation looks. All in all though, what a win for the Toon Army.

I can’t deal with Perez he drives me nuts. Surely Muto is worth a try in place of that prancing pony! I’m the same I’m not feeling Almirón out there it’s just not working.
