COMMENTARY
Many Manchester United fans heaped praise on defender Luke Shaw after witnessing his performance against Wolves, despite his side losing 2-1. The 23-year-old left-back had loads of supporters singing his praise on Twitter, with one even dubbing him the club’s player of the season. It’s easy to see why Shaw had fans gushing about him as for the most part he hardly put a foot wrong against Wolves. The left-back look defensively solid, darted up and down the flanks, and seemed a reassuring presence. These impressive displays have started to become a regularly occurrence for Shaw and given his age you’d back him to keep improving. If you had to be critical of his display, the defender didn’t clear the ball properly in the build up to Wolves’ second goal and will no doubt take some blame for that. Yet then again, everyone’s final ball did seem a little off, so maybe there was something in the air, and he was just unfortunate to be caught out.

Luke Shaw MotM so far for me. Been United's most efficient player in that poor 1st half and continuing to perform well.
