Jurgen Klopp has vowed to sing his own chant about Sadio Mane at the end of the season.

The Liverpool manager drooled over the Senegalese forward’s masterclass in his team’s Champions League triumph at Bayern Munich on Wednesday night.

“It’s so obvious that I don’t have to speak about it,” said Klopp of Mane’s recent form, as quoted by Four Four Two. “He knows it, everybody knows it. I don’t want to speak about it really. It’s so important that these boys stay fit.

“Remind me after the season and I will sing my own song about Sadio Mane if you like. He’s a really good footballer and long may it continue.”

OPINION

One thing’s for sure; if Klopp was to sing his own version of the Sadio Mane chant belted out by supporters, it would instantly go viral. The charismatic Liverpool manager was caught on camera singing lustily with fans in the aftermath of the team’s Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid last season, so he is certainly not averse to a bit of off-the-pitch Karaoke. Most Reds would pay good money for their team to win the Premier League or Champions League, and for Klopp to celebrate with a few classic Anfield anthems. Mane has emerged as one of Liverpool’s most pivotal players during the final two months of what has been a brilliant campaign so far. The club are 14 matches from greatness, and are likely to need Mane to maintain his current purple patch to get there. He took his haul for the season to 19 goals with his brilliant double in Munich. The first was a sensational piece of forward play, the second a merely excellent one. Certainly, it was a performance would signing about.
