COMMENTARY
It was not always easy for Liverpool against Burnley but the performance of 25-year-old midfielder Fabinho had the Anfield faithful head over heels on Sunday afternoon. His side might have conceded twice to the Clarets but the fact of the matter is they could have suffered more had the Brazilian not been mopping up anything and everything in the middle of the pitch. After a slow start to the season he seems to be a trusted member of the squad under Jurgen Klopp and with performances like this it is clear to see why. He brings both an energy and a ball winning quality that not all the midfielders in the squad possess and with the likes of Virgil van Dijk behind him, you know it is going to be a difficult day for any attackers when facing Liverpool. Burnley took their opportunities well but Fabinho ensured that they were limited to just a handful of chances to stick the ball past Allison. Another bright performance and he is going from strength to strength in the Premier League.
