Leeds enforcer Pontus Jansson has posted an extended Twitter message imploring Leeds fans to turn up early for the game against Sheffield United at Elland Road on Saturday.

After the brilliant 3-0 win v Reading, Jansson posted the message that said, “Let’s make Saturday a day to remember for a long time! Together we will do it!”

And in an accompanying message, he asked Leeds fans going to the game to turn up an hour before the kick-off to help create an electric atmosphere.

OPINION

This is brilliant from Jansson and it’s no wonder the Leeds fans love him so much. And, if they were under any illusion about how big the game is on Saturday, Jansson has spelled it out in no uncertain terms. He doesn’t need to fear about the Leeds fans – they’re always brilliant and will be screaming the roof down on Saturday. The only slight worry is that the pressure gets to the Leeds players, but they seem to be hitting form at exactly the right time. That’s five wins in six now, and if they can make it six from seven, they’ll have taken a massive step back to the top-flight. With no apparent injury issues, Marcelo Bielsa will likely name an unchanged team for the sixth straight game, and Jack Clarke might make it back onto the bench. That could give Leeds the boost they need to see off Sheffield United, a team who are hanging onto Leeds’ coattails in the race for the automatic promotion spots.
