Luton Town will try to prize Graeme Jones away from West Brom again in the summer, according to respected journalist Alan Nixon.

The Hatters tried to lure the Baggies’ assistant coach from the Hawthorns in January in order for him to take over as their first team boss after Nathan Jones left, and they are to go in once again after their two previous failed attempts.

Taking to his personal Twitter account, The Sun journalist Nixon said that Jones may be tempted by the fact that Luton could have their Championship status confirmed by the summer.

OPINION

It is rather clear to see that Luton are intent on getting their man, especially if they are to lodge a third attempt to lure him away from West Brom. The fact that the two previous attempts have been knocked back shows how the Baggies are reluctant to let one of their key figures leave the club – and for good reason, too. He has made a positive impact since he was hired quite a few months ago, so it is no surprise in the slightest that the League One highflyers are eager for him to take the reigns at Kenilworth Road. They are likely to gain promotion to the Championship seeing as they sit at the summit of the table, and this is a prospect that Jones may find tempting in the summer. A top job in the Championship is no doubt something that he would carefully consider, and this is something that West Brom will have to be wary about.
