COMMENTARY
Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich revealed on his personal Twitter account that he was left in a state of shock after defeat to Sheffield United on Saturday afternoon and you can sort of understand why. The Polish international and his teammates were the better side for the majority of the 90 minutes and it was just one break which saw the Blades pick up what could prove to be the most important three points of their season in the hunt for automatic promotion. The senior star’s tweet has resulted in a variety of reactions from the Elland Road faithful, many offering words of encouragement while others bemoan their luck. The Whites have been one of the best sides in the Championship this season but the fact of the matter is that it is one of the most competitive divisions in Europe and being third best could well result in nothing other than the lottery of a play off spot. It sounds as though spirits were low in that dressing room at full time and Marcelo Bielsa has got to make sure his team do not lose faith in their abilities – otherwise it could be the end of their promotion hopes once and for all.
Not the way I wanted to wake up on Sunday but unfortunately thats part of the game. Football is being cruel and I can’t believe we lost that game. National team break and after we go again… https://t.co/RFBEnl7ahg
