OPINION
Good news for Leeds fans today coming out of the pre-match press conference ahead of the game against Bristol City on Saturday. Marcelo Bielsa confirmed that young attacker Jack Clarke was fit and well, and would play in the Leeds Under-23 game next week before being available for the first-team again. That means he’ll miss the games against Bristol City and Reading next Tuesday but, crucially, could be back in time for the absolutely critical game against Sheffield United a week on Saturday. That would give the whole team a boost and while he wouldn’t start, Clarke’s impact of the bench has already been proven this season. Clarke hasn’t played since the game against Middlesbrough on Feb 9th, when he collapsed suffering with what was later diagnosed as a virus. That’s completely cleared now and after returning to first-team training this week, Leeds fans will be able to see Clarke back on the pitch when Leeds Under-23s play Charlton on Monday evening. That just leaves Adam Forshaw and Kemar Roofe between Bielsa and a full squad to pick from for the first time this season.
In the meantime, here are the best reactions to the brilliant news of his return to full fitness:
Good news day.
