Marcelo Bielsa has confirmed the Leeds starting XI for the Championship game against Reading on Tuesday night.

He said that it would be the same line-up and the same bench, which means that both Patrick Bamford and Kalvin Phillips are fit to play.

Bielsa was talking in his pre-match press conference (live on the official Leeds United app, 12.30pm) and carried on his tradition of giving out his team early.

OPINION

This is great news for Leeds, who have hit a run of form just at the right time and it only makes it more unfortunate that they lost against QPR – on paper, one of the easiest of their recent run. The 1-0 win at Ashton gate on Saturday was a different sort of impressive from the 4-0 win against West Brom. The Leeds defence had to be solid and with both Sheffield United and Norwich winning too, it was a critical win. A win against Reading could take some of the pressure off Leeds when they play their most important game of the season – against Sheffield United at Elland Road on Saturday. That could be a season-defining game that could move Leeds clear of Chris Wilder’s side in third. You have to think it’s two from three at the moment, with Leeds currently in the second box seat. Some fans don’t like Bielsa giving his side out, like he did again today, but so far it seems to be working.
