COMMENTARY
Nottingham Forest may have lost 3-1 to Aston Villa on Wednesday night, but many Forest fans on Twitter found a positive in defeat. Several heaped praise on attacker Joe Lolley with a couple of supporters even claiming the 26-year-old was better than Barcelona sensation Lionel Messi. While the 26-year-old Forest winger did dazzle on occasions against the Villans, he wasn’t quite on Messi’s level. However given that several players under-performed for Martin O’Neill’s side, it’s easy to see why so many fans went over-the-top with their praise for Lolley. The 26-year-old winger has consistently shone in his 41 outings this season and even manages to impress when his side struggle. Given that Lolley is grabbing attention for his performances, you do wonder how long he’ll remain at Forest. This is because just like one Forest fan said below, the attacker looks worthy of Premier League sides checking him out. If that do end up doing that, then you feel Forest may struggle to convince Lolley to stay put.
