Where has this come from? Twitter is full of Celtic fans urging the club to make a shock swoop to sign Alfredo Morelos from Rangers. Although it would be a great signing for the Hoops, never in a million years would something like this happen – or would it? Morelos, 22, penned a new deal at Ibrox last week, sparking rumours that there has been a release clause inserted into his terms. The Colombia international has been in superb goalscoring form for Rangers and has regularly been linked with a move away from Scotland. If there is a release clause, a club is bound to trigger it in the summer and if Celtic trigger it, then Rangers might find themselves powerless. It would be a massive shock though, perhaps one of the biggest surprise moves in transfer history. Morelos would be a good signing for Celtic if someone can curb his disciplinary issues. Everyone knows about his record in front of goal, but they also know about how he loves to get in the referee’s bad books. However it would be top trolling by the Bhoys if they were to do something like this.
