Many Leeds United fans surely felt that Tyler Roberts was a shoe-in for the axe after two troubled performances against Bolton and QPR in the last few weeks.

However, that was all put to bed when he produced a jaw-dropping display in the 4-0 win over West Brom on Friday night, and that is something that will concern one player in particular.

That player is Izzy Brown, someone who was knocking firmly on Roberts’ door when he failed to impress recently – but now that he looks transformed, Brown’s minutes in a Leeds shirt are looking increasingly limited.

He had the chance to fill in for the 20-year-old when things were going wrong for him, and now there is no way that manager Marcelo Bielsa is going to drop the hot-prospect for him any time soon.

Roberts would have to do something rather unremarkable to give Brown the opportunity to showcase himself properly, and that is highly unlikely to happen any time soon if Friday is anything to go by.

It now looks like Brown will be out in the cold for the rest of the season, and this is a shame, as he really has the potential to thrive in an environment like Elland Road – but he will be returning back to Chelsea when his spell ends.

Brown is surely sweating about the fact that the likelihood of him making appearances in the Championship is smaller than it has ever been, and you cannot really blame him.

He is best off returning to the Blues in the summer to see if they can sort out a better loan spell for him, as minutes are needed to help Brown show what he can do.

Either way, the 22-year-old is surely sweating buckets about Roberts’ performance – and rightly so.
