Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino cannot bury his head in the sand and ignore the fact that Heung-min Son’s red-hot form has come to a sudden halt.

The 26-year-old was shining bright with Harry Kane out the team and was thriving being Spurs’ main man, but that simply isn’t the case anymore.

Son, who has racked up 16 goals and nine assists this season, looked a shadow of the player he was in recent weeks when playing against Arsenal on Saturday.

The attacker was barely able to have any form of a positive impact and struggled to get on the ball before being brought off with roughly 12 minutes to go.

While Son was heavily marked during the 1-1 draw with the Gunners, usually he has enough skills in his locker to still find a way to make a difference.

Yet just like in the 2-0 defeat to Chelsea, the attacker seemed to be out of ideas on how to help his side and it was like the bubble had burst regarding his knack for putting in Man of the Match worthy performances.

It may be a coincidence that Kane’s return against Burnley has coincided with Son’s massive dip in form but that doesn’t mean Pochettino can just do nothing.

The Spurs boss must act to find a way to get Son back to his best, whether that means axing him or having him lead the line and put Kane on the bench.

The 26-year-old attacker has proven his worth in recent weeks and if Spurs want any chance of securing a top-four Premier League finish as well as defying the odds in the Champions League, Pochettino needs to get Son back to his best.
