Playing the same team week-in, week-out is fine when you’re winning. It’s no good if you team’s misfiring, though, and Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa must seriously contemplate changes for the next game against Millwall.

Some might say that Leeds were unlucky to lose on Saturday, after dominating possession and having the lion’s share of good chances.

However, this has been a problem for Leeds all season – not converting the chances they’re getting.

Getting Jack Clarke back will be a boost and Kemar Roofe could be back after the international break, but there’s a player who’s getting ignored by Bielsa – Jamie Shackleton.

The 19-year-old has looked seriously impressive in every game he’s played for Leeds this season, but he’s only started three games – which resulted in two wins and a draw.

Leeds have now lost two in five and they can’t afford to lose any more potentially for the rest of the season. Both Norwich and Sheffield United might drop points but they haven’t been obliging over the past month and Leeds can’t fall any further behind.

Shackleton can play at right-back or as an attacking midfielder – and this is where Leeds are missing since Samu Saiz left. Tyler Roberts has been hit-and-miss and Shackleton deserves his chance in the side.

Bielsa must stop playing the same side and tinker for the Millwall clash – Shackleton should get his chance to shine.
