OPINION
Tottenham have confirmed that they’re freezing season ticket prices for the 2019/20 season, with renewals set to start on April 22nd and Spurs almost ready to move into their new stadium. The news was announced by Tottenham on its official website on Monday and fans are delighted with the news.
Perhaps, given how much fans have been messed around this season, it was the least the club could do, but many fans are still genuinely surprised and happy with the gesture.
It also looks like Tottenham will be in their new stadium before the end of the season, as long as two test events they’re due to hold this month are a success.
The stadium itself looks like it’s going to be worth the wait, although weary fans who are sick of Wembley might not agree. Visuals we’ve seen from inside the stadium look amazing and it’s definitely going to be the most state-of-the-art ground in the Premier League.
Tottenham are still fighting for the Champions League and will play their home leg against Man City inside their new home. Playing the last few games of the season there will also mean that they can start next season on a roll.
