COMMENTARY
Many Celtic fans drool over goalkeeper Scott Bain over his first-half display as he made several impressive saves against Valencia. The 27-year-old was given the nod to start between the sticks by Brendan Rodgers is what no doubt is a match the manager is considering important, and he didn’t let him down in the first 45 minutes of the match. While one Celtic fan claimed Bain looked shaky in the opening minutes, they were quickly shutdown and overshadow by several supporters who were ready to sing the shot-stopper praises. One even claimed that it was unbelievable how the shot-stopper thrived under pressure. It’s hard to disagree with this fan as given that the clash with Valencia was no doubt feeling like high stakes for Bain, he took it in his stride. If Bain can keep up his impressive display in the second half against Valencia in his side’s Europa League clash with them, then it will no doubt lead to a positive result for Rodgers’ team. With the score 1-0 at the break in the favour of Valencia, and Bain doing his best not to let the Spanish side extend their lead, Celtic need to push on in the second half.
