Bury manager Ryan Lowe has been left drooling over the impact that Rangers loanee Jordan Rossiter has had during his time at the club.

The midfielder joined the English side on a temporary deal until the end of the season after struggling for game time at Ibrox, multiple injuries plaguing his time with the Light Blues.

However he seems to making the desired impact at Gigg Lane, his latest appearance helping his side to a 3-1 win over Oldham, with new boss Lowe insisting that the young talent has qualities that many of his teammates do not.

He was quoted by the Daily Record as saying: “Jordan doesn’t get many goals, but he does an absolutely great job in that midfield.

“You can just see he’s got that quality that really stands out. He sees things that other players don’t, and that can help make a big difference in big games like this.”

Opinion

Rossiter knew that his game time at Ibrox would be limited significantly during the second half of this season thanks to the arrival of Steven Davis and Glen Kamara – the latter joining after the former Liverpool man had left on loan – and it seems as though his temporary spell away is having the desired effect. There will have been many out there who wondered whether the youngster, who really has seen his career stricken by injury problems, could form a meaningful future at Ibrox and these comments from his current manager should fill them, as well as the player, with the confidence that he can. There are still plenty of hurdles for him to overcome in the shape of other midfield counterparts but he should find himself with a chance to prove himself under Gerrard, who seems to be a big fan of his. The summer could prove to be a crucial time for the midfielder.
