Tottenham are set to reignite their hunt for Spanish international Suso after previous pursuits from Mauricio Pochettino’s side, according to the Mirror.

The newspaper claim on their website that the Argentinian boss is a big fan of the four-cap AC Milan star and has chased his capture in the past, with another hunt lined up for this coming summer.

It is stated the 25-year-old, who is able to play as a right winger or as an attacking midfielder, has six goals and eight assists for the Italian giants this season, has a release clause of £35million in his contract at the San Siro.

Good move for Tottenham?

Some might argue that the last thing Pochettino needs at his disposal is more attackers, with the likes of Heung-min Son, Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Lucas Moura, Erik Lamela and Christian Eriksen all international stars who play in the same position as Suso.

However, it seems as though the manager is not quite satisfied with his current options and at 25-years-old Suso is someone with great experience who is heading into the prime of their career.

His goal scoring exploits have been impressive while he has managed to set his teammates up too, not unlike how instrumental Son has been this season.

He might not be a necessary priority, but he would still be a welcome addition in north London.

Likely to happen?

Pochettino seems to have been on the Spaniard’s chase for a while and if he is what the Argentine wants then there is no reason not to get him in at Spurs.

The release clause means that Daniel Levy has little bargaining power – AC Milan able to just hold out for someone to meet their demands – and so there is every chance a move does not come off if they do not feel he is worth that sort of money.

One to watch closely from now until summer.
