COMMENTARY
Tottenham fans are used to seeing exciting full backs bomb up and down the wing in recent years and Kieran Trippier has been one of those usually heralded by the crowds in north London. However he left the Lilywhite faithful fuming on Twitter during the first 45 minutes against Leicester City with a performance which was lacking at both ends of the pitch. A lack of defensive nous was taken advantage more than once by the Foxes at Wembley and he struggled to make any sort of impact in attack, where he usually flourishes with his pace and dangerous crossing ability. This is not the first time that the fans have been left dissatisfied with what they have seen from the first team mainstay but with the ever-erratic Serge Aurier his backup, Mauricio Pochettino does not really have much of an option but to play the English star. If Spurs are going to seriously mount a challenge on both the English and European stage between now and the end of the season then he needs to rediscover the form which had all of England drooling over him at the World Cup.

At this point I would just start playing Trippier as an out and out winger because he is an awful defender
