COMMENTARY
Tottenham fans endured another disappointing transfer window by all accounts as once again there wasn’t a new face to welcome, and it seemed their fury was vented on social media when they learnt that just because there was no incoming, doesn’t mean there wouldn’t be outgoings. With time remaining on transfer deadline day, Tottenham confirmed via their official Twitter account that 20-year-old forward Kazaiah Sterling was joining Sunderland on loan until the end of the season. The news of the promising youngster’s temporary exit in order to go play for Sunderland, saw many Tottenham fans fume over their squad depth and lack of transfer business. One fan described Sterling’s loan move as painful, while another even urged Spurs owner Joe Lewis to sell up, so someone ambitious could come to the club. While many Spurs fans fumed, Sterling’s move to Sunderland could be great for him as he could actually get to taste senior football on a regular basis.

7 points off the top and Spurs STILL don't sign anyone, Joe Lewis & Daniel Levy need to show some ambition or sell up to someone who has the ambition to take us to the next level.

This is painful lads. Spurs havent even put up another post because they know they cant say or do anything to make the fans happy. Should have gone all out to freshen up the squad with someone like wan-bissaka or just someone for the future in centre mid.

To be fair it’s a great move for the lad. Sunderland are a big club pushing for promotion it’s a perfect move to develop. However I can’t believe we are going to end this transfer window even weaker than we were when we started. What is this madness. Sort it out @SpursOfficial
