OPINION
There were heroes everywhere in white on Wednesday night as Tottenham secured a memorable 3-0 Champions League win over Borussia Dortmund. From goalkeeper Hugo Lloris who pulled off a series of crucial saves, to defender Jan Vertonghen who thrived in a left wing-back role, to spearhead Son Heung-Min who showed how the team can still carve out memorable wins without Harry Kane and Dele Alli. But there was no greater satisfaction among Lilywhites than with the performance of Harry Winks. The Spurs academy product blew supporters away with his display in central midfield alongside Moussa Sissoko. It was not just the radar-precise passing and technical excellence in the heat of a last-16 clash in Europe’s premier competition that stood out. When his side were under the cosh in the first half and seemingly set to capitulate as the marvellous Jadon Sancho led the yellow charge, Winks kept showing for the ball, taking responsibility and pushing his side forward. He is a brilliant young player who is destined for the very top.

How god were we yesterday? That was a truly brilliant second half display. Patient and ruthless in front of goal. Special mentions for Jan, Winks and Sissoko. The whole team were fab but these 3 stood out for me #COYS

On reflection; a solid performance. Vertonghen looked comfortable and dangerous at LB, Foyth growing in confidence, Winks growing with every game and Son was amazing as ever.
Great result, I love this club.#COYS #THFC
