COMMENTARY
There was an understandable excitement from Newcastle United fans when their side secured the signing of Miguel Almiron and it has not taken long at all for the Paraguayan international to show exactly what he is about at St James’ Park. On what was just his third appearance of the season against Burnley, his second start under Rafael Benitez, he was pulling the strings and you can see exactly why so many of the Toon Army were left saying how much he has transformed their side. There is so much more intent when the Magpies are in attack and instead of hoping for something to happen, Almiron makes it look as though something will happen every time. Newcastle are a much more exciting side to watch than they were in the first half of the campaign and while it might only be three appearances for Almiron, it is quite clear he is making all the difference on Tyneside. For the good of the Premier League, long may it continue.
