Jurgen Klopp has said that he believes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be the permanent Man United manager next season.

Klopp was talking in his pre-match press conference ahead of the huge Premier League clash with Man United on Sunday.

Asked about whether Solskjaer would be in the Old Trafford hot seat next season he said, “There’s no doubt he will be the manager there next season. I think I have spoke enough.”

OPINION

At every other club there would really be no doubt about who would get the manager’s job next season. Solskjaer has completely transformed the side since taking over from Jose Mourinho. He hasn’t lost a Premier League game yet and drawn just one against Burnley. The only blot on his record was PSG in the Champions League and losing to them is no shame. However, United are a huge club and there will be worry about giving the role to Solskjaer, no matter how well he does this season. We would love him to get the job. Sometimes you have to look for the right man at the right time rather than looking to shoehorn a big name in and hoping for the best. If Man United can’t get Pochettino from Tottenham, then who better than Solskjaer? A win against Liverpool on Sunday would surely make him very hard to resist, even for the biggest cynics at Old Trafford. And what a game we’ve got to look forward to. The game on Sunday could be an absolute classic, with both sides looking irresistible in attack. What odds a dour 0-0 then?
