What is most frustrating about Romelu Lukaku is that it seems like every single player at Manchester United has upped their game at Old Trafford since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took charge of the club, but he has stayed exactly the same – average. Lukaku, 25, failed to produce much in the 2-0 win against Chelsea in the FA Cup on Monday night and some of the criticism aimed at him by a number of fans is understandable. The ex-Chelsea striker has regularly punished his former clubs throughout his career, but he did next to nothing at Stamford Bridge and did little to show that he is the club’s best striker when Marcus Rashford played so well. The Belgium international has scored just two goals in all competitions since the start of 2019, and when you consider Man United’s form in the Premier League and FA Cup, that’s not good enough for the Red Devils’ big-money forward. Should they get rid of him in the summer? Some of the fans seem to think so.
