Tottenham star Danny Rose is set to undergo a late fitness test ahead of the Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday, according to Press Association reporter Jonathan Veal.
The reporter claimed via his personal Twitter account on Tuesday that the in-form left-back has a wounded shin and is now a doubt for the last-16 fixture at Wembley.
However while there is bad news, there is also a double dose of good news as Eric Dier and attacker Erik Lamela are understood to be back in the squad after spells on the sidelines.

OPINION
It would be a major blow if Tottenham were to lose Rose for this clash against Dortmund. The former Leeds left-back has been in stunning form lately for Spurs and he would have been a really good match for electrifying Dortmund star Jadon Sancho. Rose has pace, he can defend and he can attack, so to be without him will hurt Tottenham’s chances of a win. What makes things worse is that Ben Davies is still injured as well, so Spurs do not have a natural left-back available if Rose is out. Kyle Walker-Peters can play there but he is predominately right-sided and he lacks experience. Jan Vertonghen can also play there, but he lacks the pace that would be required to cancel out Dortmund’s jet-heeled attackers and Spurs would also lose a bit of attacking prowess down the left. It’s a tough situation for Mauricio Pochettino, but hopefully Rose is fine to play.
