Marcelo Bielsa confirmed his starting XI for the Championship clash against Swansea on Wednesday night.

Adam Forshaw is injured and won’t be ready for the game. The only change from the 1-1 draw against Middlesborough is Pablo Hernandez coming in for Jack Clarke.

Phil Hay, senior reporter from the Yorkshire Evening Post, quoted Bielsa from his pre-match press conference on Tuesday lunchtime.

OPINION

Bielsa continues giving out his starting XI ahead of matches, although this one was fairly nailed on anyway. With Forshaw out still, Hernandez for Clarke, who was taken ill late on in the game against Middlesbrough and who hasn’t trained this week, is the only change. It means that Kiko Casilla will be in goal, with a back four of Ezgjan Alioski, Liam Cooper, Pontus Jansson and Luke Ayling. Kalvin Phillips will be in defensive mid, with Hernandez, Mateusz Klich, Kemar Roofe and Jack Harrison in attack. Patrick Bamford will continue to lead the line in a game that Leeds really need to win. They’ve only won two of the last seven league games, losing four of them, and that’s seen them drop off the top of the table. Results around them have been kind thankfully, and they’ve still got a grip on an automatic promotion spot, with Sheffield United three points back and West Brom a further two points off second place.
