COMMENTARY
After four clean sheets in their last eight games the West Brom fans might have thought that their side’s defensive issues were long gone. It might have been the missing Ahmed Hegazi or another mitigating factor but it was back to normal for the season for the Hawthorns crowd against Nottingham Forest, with the visitors capitalising on some shocking defending to take the lead early on. The man who has taken much of the flak from the fuming fans is senior ace Craig Dawson, whose poor pass launched Forest’s swift attack and he was unable to prevent them from forcing the ball into the back of the net as he recovered. Usually one of the most dependable performers in blue and white this was a really disappointing first half performance and it is clear to see why the supporters were tearing into him on Twitter. If the Baggies are going to launch a bid for an automatic promotion spot, these silly errors need to be eradicated.
