COMMENTARY
After what was one of the most dramatic transfer stories to play out on deadline day it is no surprise to see that the Leeds United fans have had plenty to say as Dan James has the axe swung on him for the Welsh side’s clash against Bristol City. As revealed on the Swans’ official Twitter account on Saturday afternoon, the winger, who was reportedly on the brink of becoming a new signing at Elland Road before his move shockingly collapsed, is nowhere to be seen among the match day 18, having started and scored in their last game against Birmingham City. It seems as though Leeds’ pursuit and the dramatic deadline day turnaround has played its part and the reactions from the Whites’ faithful suggest they are still bitterly disappointed at not getting their man over the line. Swansea boss Graham Potter will no doubt have to answer for the winger’s absence in his interviews but it is pretty clear why he is not taking part on Saturday, for it does not take a genius to figure it out.
