OPINION

Robbie Savage has ruffled some feathers in Norfolk after saying that he’d like to see Leeds get promoted to the Premier League before Norwich. Savage made his comments on ta recent BBC 606 phone-in, when he said, “Let’s be honest. Would I rather see Leeds United, Derby County, Birmingham or Aston Villa than Norwich in the Premier League, yes I would.” His comments haven’t gone down too well with Norwich fans but he’s gone up in the estimation of some Leeds fans. What makes it all the funnier is that he’s got an event, An Evening With Robbie Savage, scheduled at Carrow Road for March 1. Some Norwich fans have said that they should boycott the event, with one fan saying he would rather do his own dentistry that listen to him talk at Carrow Road. One Leeds fans, whose side was deposed at the top of the Championship after they were beaten by Norwich on Saturday, thinks that Savage has got it “absolutely spot on”, although another said he was with the Norwich fans and thought it was “embarrassing”. They say that no publicity is bad publicity, and Savage will have to hope that’s the case when he heads to Carrow Road, or it could be a very lonely night.

Here are the best reactions from Norwich fans to Savage’s comments:
