OPINION

Leeds United fans have got two big reasons to get excited about the Under-23s match against Nottingham Forest tonight. The first is the debut for January signing Mateusz Bogusz. The 17-year-old midfielder was bought for the development squad but he came on the back of very high praise and said that he fully intends to make his mark on the first-team squad. Leeds fans will get a chance to see if that’s likely to happen this season in the game tonight. The other reason for Leeds fans to get excited is the non-appearance of Izzy Brown. He’s played a part in the last few Under-23s games, while not coming off the bench in the first-team matches. The fact he’s not here tonight could be a big sign that Marcelo Bielsa intends to give him his debut in the match against Bolton tomorrow. Elsehwhere, Barry Douglas and Gaetano Berardi continue their rehabilitation with a place in the starting XI.
