OPINION
While Dedryck Boyata has once again been criticised by some Celtic fans, the Belgium international has done his job so far with Kilmarnock yet to really break through the Bhoys backline. Killie’s attack looked strong in the first-half and both Boyata and Kristoffer Ajer had their good and bad moments, with the Belgium international pulling off an important block at one point that stopped what could have been an opening goal for the hosts at Rugby Park. Boyata is bound to always be criticised by Celtic fans if the scoreline isn’t looking too pretty. He is more than likely going to leave in the summer when his contract expires and there was all that speculation in the summer after he had a decent World Cup with Belgium. His displays in Celtic’s colours haven’t match that of what he displayed in Russia last year, and it might not be a massive loss if the centre-back leaves Parkhead at the end of the season.

Boyata is much better, in his mind, than he is on the pitch. #KILCEL
