Aston Villa must try to sign Stoke attacker Bojan Krkic in the summer transfer window after it was reported that the Spaniard could be on his way out of the Bet365 Stadium.

The Sun has claimed that MLS side New England Revolution have offered Bojan, 28, a deal to join them, with the transfer window in the USA open up until May 1.

However Villa must swoop in as soon as possible and make their interest known to the former Barcelona ace, who would surely reject a move to MLS in favour of Villa Park.

It is understood that Bojan rejected the chance to join West Brom on deadline day, but Villa will definitely be able to hand him a massive opportunity in the summer with the club reportedly in the hunt to find a replacement for Jack Grealish.

According to the Sun, Aston Villa are looking at Nottingham Forest star Joe Lolley to potentially replace Grealish, who could be on his way out of Villa Park if Dean Smith fails to win promotion this term.

Dazzling attacking midfielder Bojan could definitely fill the void that Grealish would leave and he would be straight into the starting line-up, whereas he probably rejected West Brom because they could not promise him the game-time.

Villa will need to move quick to show their desire to sign the one-time Spain international though.

New England can take their time to sign him before the start of May while Villa will have to wait until the end of the current season to be able to sign up the former Barcelona player.

However if they can get their foot in the door now, then it could make things a lot smoother in the summer when there is bound to be much change at Villa Park.
