Andy Walker has predicted that Rangers will win 3-1 against Hamilton when the two Scottish Premiership sides meet at the SuperSeal Stadium on Sunday.

The Light Blues will be without Alfredo Morelos once again as he finishes off a three-game ban despite being available to play, and score four goals, in the 5-0 win against Kilmarnock earlier this week.

However that has not stopped ex-Celtic man Walker from backing Steven Gerrard’s side to pick up all three points at Hamilton, and he has been gushing over new signing Glen Kamara for his recent performances in a Rangers shirt.

“Looks the part in a Rangers jersey after his move from Dundee,” Walker said about Kamara on the Sky Sports website.

Kamara has only made two appearances since joining Rangers on deadline day in January.

OPINION

Even though Morelos scored four goals against Killie this week, Kamara will still the stand-out player on the pitch with a superb performance in the midfield. It is a real surprise that the rarely-seen Finland international has been able to get into Gerrard’s starting line-up so soon, but the midfielder has really impressed in the games against St Johnstone and Kilmarnock, so it seems likely that he will be one of the first names on the teamsheet this weekend. Hamilton are really struggling in the Scottish Premiership this season. They are 11th in the table but know that they still have a chance of avoiding relegation as goal difference is the only thing that currently separates them from those outside the bottom two. Even though the Accies will be fighting with all they have got this weekend, Rangers’ quality should shine through, even without Morelos. Jermain Defoe has had a slow start to life at Ibrox but the ex-England forward should surely have an impact this weekend.
