With no apparent progress in Leeds United’s bid to sign Swansea City winger Daniel James, a new target emerged on Friday afternoon that has got fans salivating. Sun transfer expert Mike McGrath reported on his personal Twitter account that United are “looking to do deal” for Wolves winger Ivan Cavaleiro in the final week of the winter window. Given that the two-times Portugal international remains a key member of the Premier League club’s squad after being one of the outstanding wide players in Wolves’ promotion-winning 2017-18 campaign, many Leeds supporters are excited. They believe the 25-year-old can add real cutting edge to an attack that has never looked more blunt that it did in last Saturday’s 2-1 Championship defeat to Stoke City. One pointed out that Cavaleiro would be a “league winning signing” and the player signed for £7million two summers ago by the Midlands outfit certainly falls into that category.

I agree, I'd love to see him join. The only way I would see it happening is if Wolves have someone they're trying to get and want to clear the wage bill slightly. Doubtful

No chance we'll pay that imo, I would assume a loan with agreement to buy at a set price if promoted, which is a deal stacked in our favour. But clubs seem to have a decent relationship looking at Douglas deal.

Agreed! U guys have setup and ambition to aim higher than your current wingers as you say, but for us, Cav would become the focus of our attack for years, much like Douglas signing benefitted all parties. Still feels like we all dreaming here but maybe more in it than we think
